                                      Booksigning in Daytona...

Judith Leigh is from Owego, New York but now resides with her hero-husband near the Suwannee River in Florida. Their front porch, with its view of the pine and oak treed country side, is the perfect place for Judith to tap away on her Laptop, creating novels she hopes readers will love.

She credits her love of reading and writing from her beloved mother Jeanne D Pabis. Later she was encouraged by her English teacher Mr. Rhoads. Her love of history came from having a teacher who made it so interesting you couldn't help fall in love with history. Thanks, Mr. Gatto you made it special. So it was only natural that Judy would make her first novel a historical romance. While some may not consider the forties history it produced the greatest generation.

In 1993 she attend a Romantic Times Convention, where she joined Romance Writers of America. Later she joined First Coast Romance Writers, Ancient City Romance Authors, Faith, Hope & Love, Florida Writers Association and ESPAN-RWA. After the sale of her first novel, A Father's Hope, written as Judy Leigh Peters, to Wings ePress, Inc., she joined EPIC, an organization of electronically published professionals. Her second novel Joshua's Faith by Judy Leigh Peters was also published by Wings ePress. Both Novels received nominations from the Romance Studio for their TRS CAPA Award. A Father's Hope also received the Golden Rose Nomination which is a Reader's Choice Award. Judith was honored to be nominated for these prestigious awards. Autographed books maybe purchased by emailing Judith at judith@judithleigh.com. Checks and Visa/Mastercards are welcomed.

Excitement came for Judith in the form of two new contracts from Highland Press for It Must Have Been the Mistletoe; Love Under The Mistletoe Anthology has a October 2007 release date. When The Vow Breaks will be released in 2008. Both novels will be under the pen name Judith Leigh.

Surviving is something Judy has had to learn. Giving up is not in her vocabulary. When diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1987, she was determined to beat the odds. Now on July 13 each year, she celebrates another year of being cancer free and credits the love and support of family and friends and two outstanding surgeons from Tyndall AFB for her healing. The advice she gives: A strong faith in God, proper diet, excercise or some form of activity. (Dancing to music is what she enjoys), regular breast exams and mammograms. Early detection will save your life. It saved hers. This year she celebrated 20 years of being cancer free. She welcomes e-mail from other breast cancer survivors and her readers at:

When she's not busy writing her novels, she spends her weekends with her husband, running their store in Lake Park, Georgia. Her active life and her eleven grandchildren keep her young.
